STEPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SALE - HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ESTATE AGENCY

In this series we explore the steps estate agents take to ensure you maximise the value of you home whilst minimising the stress throughout the process. It's all in the planning!

When you first decide to move the initial decision will be which agent to use throughout the process.

This is difficult as often from the outside they can appear to offer similar qualities. Our best advise would be to call in to a couple of agents you are considering and register as a buyer with the sales teams. Ultimately these are the people you will be dealing with the most so a perfect way to check they are the right fit for you and your comfortable they will be proactive and driven to sell your property.

Another thing to look for is local market share. Do they appear to be the agent of choice with other local sellers? 'Social proof' is often a good sign they are proactive and have the tools and ability to achieve a successful sale for you.

Finally check their current available properties online. This is a perfect way to check how an agent presents a property. Images, drone shots, accurate floorplans and a writeup with impact. These are key to attracting the right buyer.

Once you've chosen your agent the journey begins!
